  9. Take the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island for brunch outside
  10. Northwest Trek
  11. See Silver Falls in Oregon
  12. Spheres at the Amazon corporate office (when they re-open for tours)
  13. See the renovated Space Needle, glass floors
  14. Check out the updated Asian Art Museum
  15. See the movie Top Gun / Maverick (due out in July), especially if you loved the first one
  16. Take the portable fire pit out to the street and meet up with the neighbors for happy hour
  17. Travel outside of within 4 hours reach
  18. Go somewhere new; try something new
  19. Go somewhere that you haven’t been to in a number of years. Support the smaller businesses too.
  20. Go somewhere that you love, that makes you happy; one of your favorite places

Songhees Seafood and Steam

On your next adventure to Victoria BC, check out the newest food truck, Songhees Seafood and Steam.

In a collaboration between Clipper and the Songhees Nation, they’ll be serving up a modern take on Pacific Northwest fare. Cuisine rooted in cultural heritage with fresh local ingredients.  Chef David Roger has crafted an authentic menu that includes salmon, bison, and more.

Grand opening is May 12th and is located at the Victoria Clipper Terminal at 254 Belleville St.  Great location for a tasty bite!

Flower Festival and a Seattle Sampling

What makes for a fun outing to prepare for a Mother’s Day feast?  Head to downtown Seattle to Pike Place Market’s annual Flower Festival ~ that’s what!  Whether you make it for a few hours or all day, grab a bite and support the locals.  Flowers. Halibut. Broccolini. Shiitake Mushrooms. Pork Hom Bow. Chocolate. Sunshine. Check it off your list of May events.  Done.

La Marzocco Cafe Seattle

If you are an espresso lover or if you like the finer things in life, you’ll want to head to La Marzocco Cafe and Showroom ~ its first cafe in Seattle which opened this month at Seattle Center in KEXP’s new headquarters.  Check out the company history and see the display of high-end commercial and home espresso machines.  Also, you’ll benefit from trying coffee from a variety of guest roasters from around the world.
